The Benefits of Life Coaching

20 Feb

Life Coaching has become increasingly popular in recent years and even though most people are familiar with the term ‘life coaching’, I’m often asked what a Life Coach actually does.

A Life Coach is a certified practitioner who facilitates the teaching of success principles that can be applied to achieve specific outcomes, or to improve a person’s life holistically. Because Life Coaching focuses largely on improving a person’s mindset and overcoming self-limiting beliefs to enable more effective goal achievement, the benefits of the life coaching process are often seen across multiple facets of the client’s life.

For individuals seeking to improve their personal effectiveness and operate at a level of peak performance, life coaching can help to accelerate this transformation. In the following video, I outline five of the top benefits of Life Coaching.

The benefits of working with a Life Coach include:

  • Working out what you really want and setting effective goals
  • Identifying and overcoming self-limiting beliefs
  • Identifying and developing productive habits (and eliminating non-productive habits)
  • Developing and sustaining a state of personal empowerment – with a strong sense of purpose and confidence
  • All of the factors above build a foundation to deliver the ultimate benefit of achieving long-lasting results – and because life coaching is a transformational process, the principles and methods learned can be used over and over again to achieve even bigger goals.

That’s a good point that a coach can help you set effective goals. Goal setting is more complex than some people think. I’ve been trying to set-up a workout routine for a while; I might have to ask for help achieving that goal.

Wow, I didn’t know that a life coach could have so many positive benefits for someone. It is hard to overcome feelings of self-doubt when you’re in a rut, and having someone that believes in you would make things easy. I like that you mentioned that a life coach also helps you set goals; they also can probably keep you accountable.
